Job Summary

Work in a growing Civil Engineering software company that provides water modeling products and services around the world. The position with Aquaveo will help with contract work and later with development of these products.

Responsibilities

  • The candidate will develop Linux C++ modules to read and format USB inputs, to display data in real-time using Qt, and to control the execution and timing of these and other modules.
  • The candidate will research development options for required functionality and make recommendations.
  • The candidate will create solutions that are well designed, well documented, and well tested.
  • The candidate will work with others to identify, prioritize and design libraries, utilities, and user interfaces and their test environments.
  • The candidate will develop and refactor portions of existing code using Windows C++ as well as other languages.

Qualifications

  • Has earned a BS in Computer Science or related degree or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent understanding of and experience with the C++ language, OOP, and standard template library.
  • Detail oriented with attention to process and design methodology.
  • Understanding of software development process and methodologies.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment and maintain good relationships.
  • Experience with application development in Linux.
  • Experience with QT GUI development.
  • Experience with programming web services clients.

  • Experience with TestComplete test development.
  • Experience with Visual Studio development and project configuration.
  • Experience with MFC GUI development.
  • Experience with CxxTest test development.
  • Experience with OpenGL graphics development.
  • Experience with Subversion configuration managment.
  • Experience with Boost library usage.
  • Experience with Fortran development.
  • Ability to adequately address user interface issues.
  • Ability to do unit test driven development.
  • Experience analyzing, documenting and designing software system architectures.
  • Experience with KMZ files, global projections and GlobalMapper, Tiega CAD library, DLLs.
