Job Summary

Work in a growing Civil Engineering software company that provides water modeling products, training, and consulting around the world. The engineer filling this position with Aquaveo will provide training and consulting using Aquaveo’s proprietary software products and other software used in computer-based hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.

Responsibilities

1. The candidate will work on and/or supervise hydraulic and hydrologic modeling projects using the Groundwater Modeling System (GMS), the Surfacewater Modeling System (SMS), the Watershed Modeling System (WMS), and other GIS and hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software.
2. The candidate will create reports and presentations showing the results of these hydraulic and hydrologic modeling projects.
3. The candidate will work with programmers to report software problems and suggest software features.
4. The candidate will provide training and consulting services for the GMS, SMS, WMS, and other Aquaveo-related software products around the world.
5. The candidate will write proposals and solicit contracts for hydraulic and hydrologic modeling projects. The candidate will then manage these projects.

Qualifications and Required Skills

1. MS in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Hydrology and Hydraulics.
2. Ability to create computer models of groundwater, surfacewater, or watershed systems.
3. Experience working with computers and ability to work with clients around the world on engineering projects.
4. Pass the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
5. Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment and maintain good relationships.

Preferred Skills

1. Experience in software development, preferably using C++.
2. GIS experience, preferably with ESRI products.
3. Experience as a project manager for consulting projects involving hydrologic or hydraulic modeling.
4. Professional Engineering (PE) license.
