Data Export
GMS provides a variety of data export options including direct file export of image formats (.bmp, .jpg, .png & .tif) and Google Earth format (.kmz). In addition, GMS exports a number of native GMS file formats for grids, meshes, boreholes, etc. GMS also exports standard file formats associated with the input data and solutions for MODFLOW and the other models supported by GMS. Data is generally exported from GMS using the File/Save As command and selecting the type and format of data to be exported.
In addition to file export, graphical data is commonly exported from GMS for use in reports or presentations. GMS can be used to print to standard Windows printers. A "Copy to Clipboard" option is available to easily transfer graphical information to documents or presentations. Images can be exported at a higher resolution than the screen resolution. Standard screen capture options are also available. GMS also has simple drawing tools available to add annotation to graphics to be exported.
Animations created in GMS can also be exported as standard Windows .avi files for display on any computer or for use in presentations. Animations are automatically saved when created in GMS.
