 HY-8 CulvertThe HY-8 Culvert Modeling Wizard steps you through the process of generating a hydrograph using any of the WMS-supported hydrologic models, routing the generated hydrograph through a culvert, and then determining the flooded area behind the culvert and the roadway embankment.  Hydraulic ToolboxWMS has been integrated with the FHWA Hydraulic Toolbox, which allows you to perform basic hydraulic calculations such as channel normal depth, curb and gutter, detention basin routing, and weir overtopping calculations. Hydrologic Models          
 Hydrologic ModelingThe hydrologic modeling tools in WMS can be used to setup models for any of the supported hydrologic models in WMS and to define diversions, reservoirs, and other hydrologic computations. These models can be used to compute hydrographs, water quality parameters, and any other output supported by the hydrologic models. ■ ■ ■   ■
 HEC-1 ModelThe HEC-1 model is the widely used hydrologic model developed by the US Army Corps of Engineers Hydrologic Engineering Center. It supports a large number of hydrologic processes and uses a unit hydrograph and hydrologic routing approach to compute and combine watershed hydrographs. ■ ■ ■   ■
 HEC-HMS ModelThe HEC-HMS model is a "Next Generation" hydrologic model developed by the US Army Corps of Engineers Hydrologic Engineering Center that has all of the important capabilities available in HEC-1 and also has new capabilities not available in HEC-1. HMS has a user interface, but WMS can be used to compute parameters for input into HMS and completely setup HMS models. The model is run and the output is then viewed in the HMS interface. ■ ■ ■   ■
 TR-20 ModelThe TR-20 model is a lumped parameter hydrologic model developed by the USDA that includes the SCS curve number and the SCS unit hydrograph methods of computing watershed losses and hydrographs ■ ■ ■   ■
 TR-55 ModelThe TR-55 model is derived from several instances of TR-20 runs and can be used for computing peak rates of discharge and methods for computing and routing hydrographs through a watershed. The TR-55 model is limited by the size of the basin, so it may not be applicable to all rural watersheds, but it can be a useful model for urban areas and requires a minimum number of input parameters. ■ ■ ■   ■
 Rational Method ModelThe rational method is a widely used and very simple watershed model. The version of the rational method model used in WMS includes several options for generating and routing hydrographs according to the procedures described in FHWA's HDS-2 document. ■ ■ ■   ■
 MODRAT ModelThe MODRAT model is the model approved and accepted by the LA County Department of Public Works (LACDPW) to develop hydrologic models for the city of Los Angeles, California. This model, which is maintained by Aquaveo, has many features and is a modified version of the rational method. ■ ■ ■   ■
 OC Rational ModelThe Orange County Rational model is a modified version of the rational method that has features specific to hydrology in Orange County, California. ■ ■ ■   ■
 OC Hydrograph ModelThe OC Hydrograph model is a version of HEC-1 that has been customized to compute hydrographs using methods approved for use in Orange County, California. ■ ■ ■   ■
 HSPF ModelThe HSPF model is a lumped parameter water quality and quantity model developed by the US EPA and USGS. A Microsoft windows version of HSPF, WinHSPFLt, is distributed with the WMS installation. ■ ■ ■   ■

 Hydraulic/River ModelingThe hydraulic and river modeling tools in WMS allow you to cut cross sections, define stream centerlines, and compute water surface elevations using any of the supported 1D hydraulic models in WMS.   ■ ■   ■
 HEC-RAS Model Intg.The HEC-RAS model is the widely used one-dimensional hydraulic model developed by the US Army Corps of Engineers Hydrologic Engineering Center. It supports both steady state and unsteady flow using cross-sections defined at regular intervals in a stream network. The effects of bridges, culverts, and weirs in a stream channel can be modeled.   ■ ■   ■
 SMPDBK ModelThe SMPDBK (SiMPlified Dam BreaK) model allows you to model and determine the maximum water depths for dam breaks based on cross section data downstream from the dam location.   ■ ■   ■
Storm Drain Module          
 Storm Drain ModelingThe storm drain model interface in WMS supports tools to create storm drain layouts and to setup models for two different versions of the SWMM model (XP-SWMM and EPA-SWMM) and for FHWA's HY-12 model. WMS can be used to build a hydrologic model and a storm drain network model, link the hydrologic model to the storm drain model, compute lengths, slopes, and invert elevations of pipes in the storm drain model, and then export the storm drain model input file to any of the supported storm drain modeling applications.     ■   ■
 HY-12 Storm DrainCreate a storm drain layout and assign rational method computations, curbs and gutters, access holes, pipes, outfalls, and other storm drain network features to links and nodes on a storm drain network and run computations using the procedures defined in FHWA's HEC-22 manual.     ■   ■
 EPA-SWMM ModelEPA-SWMM (Storm Water Management Model) is a storm drain and hydrology model developed by the EPA and widely used to design and analyze storm drains.     ■   ■
 XP-SWMM SupportXP-SWMM is a storm drain and hydrology model used to design and analyze storm drains in urban settings. XP-SWMM model users can interface their model with WMS.     ■   ■
2D Grid Module          
 2D Grid ToolsThe 2D grid generation and editing tools in WMS allow you to build models and compute the required datasets for distributed (2D) hydrologic models.         ■
 ModClark ModelThe ModClark model, a part of HEC-HMS, is a quasi-distributed (2D) model that can be used to model the spatial distribution of rainfall, curve number, and travel times in a watershed.         ■
GSSHA Model          
 GSSHA ModelThe GSSHA model is a two-dimensional hydrologic model developed by the US Army Corps of Engineers Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC). Among other things, GSSHA supports modeling of basic rainfall-runoff processes, long term simulation, groundwater-surfacewater interaction, sediment transport, and contaminant transport.         ■
CE QUAL Model          
 CE-QUAL-W2 ModelThe CE-QUAL-W2 model is a 2D, laterally averaged, finite difference hydrodynamic and water quality model. This model can be used to model hydrodynamics and water quality in rivers, lakes, and estuaries. In WMS, water bodies are divided into branches and segments and bathymetry and control files are exported and then run in CE-QUAL-W2.         ■
